HTC Explorer

The HTC Explorer, code-named HTC Pico is a smartphone developed by the HTC Corporation announced in September 2011.[1]
Because of the low end processor, the HTC Watch movie rental service and the 3D scrolling effects on the homescreens are not available. The handset comes in a huge variety[citation needed] of color options.
Its appearance is very similar to the HTC Wildfire S and it comes with a 3.2 inch HVGA screen, a 600mhz Qualcomm Scorpion processor and runs the Android operating system. It runs the HTC Sense 3.5 user interface.
The Explorer's outer shell is made of patterned plastic that has a rubbery feel to it - creating an impression of ruggedness to match its name. The plate of brushed metal at the center of the rear backs that up too.
Small as it is, the Explorer has Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with Sense UI 3.5 on top. The Explorer leaves behind the old ARMv6 processor and moves to the Snapdragon S1 platform that comes with ARMv7. Although the hardware of the phone seems low end, developers and modders have managed to run Nvidia Tegra 3 games on it.
